Mumbai

ENGLISH: On the way home from Goa to Jaipur, Judith, Marianne and me had a whole day to explore Mumbai! We kept close to the area around “The Indian Gate” that you are able to see on picture number three. I was not that exited about Mumbai in the first place, due to Marianne not being so positive to the city herself.

Mumbai was therefore a lot better than expected! It was a lot more modern than what everything here in Jaipur is and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We chose to eat at Leauopals, a famous restaurant that was bombed at the same time as “The Taj”. The food there was okei but the ice tea was great! Outside of the restaurant there was plenty with small stores to find where you could buy watches, shoes, jewellery, bindis, statues and more for a good price.

On the second last photo you see a supermarket that is to be found right outside the airport. It was awesome! We could buy food from different places in the world there. Food and drinks such as the voss water from Norway, Hersey bars, chorizo sausages, ice tea from lipton AND the same taco things that we buy at home in beautiful, fantastic and mesmerising Bergen! Why do we not have that store in Jaipur?

By the way, there was also a Starbucks to find at the airport, we were there twice during the hours we had in Mumbai! It was a nice experience.

-Namaste!
